While entering your 30s can be daunting for many, it really isn’t so bad. The 30s are the new 20s and the 20s are the new teens and so on. So really 30s is like being a kid again! Despite that, your body will start to slow down in a few areas, so it is time to start doing things right. This will ensure you can act like a child for many years to come.
Morning routine
Have an established morning routine. At the foundation, it should include 7 to 9 hours of sleep and a solid breakfast. This is the armor you need to fight the day with. If you can, add in some exercise, mindfulness and positive thinking to ensure you are starting the day the right way.
Resistance training
At the age of 30, your body will start to slowly lose muscle unless you do something about it. Ensure you are doing some form of resistance training to combat normal aging problems. While many people focus on cardio to keep the weight down, resistance training is important.
Take care of yourself
Listen to your body. While when you are young if something hurts you can just ignore it, but you have to start reading the signs now. If your body is sore, give it rest, if you are unhappy, do something that makes you happy. Love yourself.
Eat properly and on time
Eat the right portions to ensure your body is getting the right nutrients. A typical plate should be half vegetables, one-quarter carbs, and one-quarter protein. Ensure you are eating every three to five hours or you will get hungry and make poor food choices. Always have some healthy snack options close by, just in case.
Choose quality over quantity
When we are young we want to be everyone’s friend. As you get older spend more time with those who matter to you and less time with everyone else. You may find your circle of friends gets smaller but higher value. That is a good thing.
